Story Title:ST. ANDREW ZONE OF RBTT SCHOOLS CHESS GETS UNDERWAY TOMMOROW Posted By:Mark Holness on the date 2007-10-25
Action in the St. Andrew Zone of the RBTT Corporate Area Schools Chess Championship gets underway at the Ardenne High School Library at 3 pm on Friday (tomorrow). Five-time all-island champions Campion College, who retained all their key players from last year’s team which lost to Glenmuir in the finals, will start as marginal favourites to top the St. Andrew Zone ahead of Ardenne High. Ardenne has also retained their entire team from last year, but many of the players have not been playing regularly in the last six months.
Story Title:Ardenne and Calabar 'A' Register Convincing Wins Posted By:Mark Holness on the date 2007-10-27
Widely considered to be the best team never to have won the National Schools Chess Championship, Ardenne High began their 2007/2008 campaign with a bang when they trounced a spirited Campion 'B' 4-0 at the Ardenne High School Library on Friday. Led on Board one by 13 year-old Brandon Badal, Ardenne started off slowly but eventually took charge on all four boards with about 35 minutes left in the match. Ardenne’s greater experience eventually took them home unscathed with maximum points.

Story Title:CAMPION ‘A’ STILL UNBEATEN Posted By:Mark Holness on the date 2007-11-20
As play continued in Zone 2a of the RBTT National Schools Chess Championships at Ardenne High last Friday, five time champions Campion College ‘A’ maintained their unbeaten run in the championship with a 4-0 drubbing of Calabar ‘B’. This was Campion’s third 4-0 victory from as many matches and with four in-form players in Phillip Pryce, Zachary Ramsay, Kadeem Knight and Douglas Johnson, it will be hard to bet against them going all the way.

Story Title:GLENMUIR, CAMPERDOWN RBTT CHESS FINALS Posted By:Mark Holness on the date 2008-02-23
Glenmuir High and Camperdown High captured the RBTT Rural and Corporate Area Schools Chess Championship titles at the Courtleigh Hotel on Saturday. In the final of the Rural Area Championship, defending national champions Glenmuir High lived up to expectation in registering a comfortable 3-1 win over Montego Bay Community College. Winning for Glenmuir were National Junior Champion Onaje La Mont on Board 1, Mikhail Gillespie on Board 3 and Adrian Allen on Board 4. Oneil Hall saved MBCC from the whitewash when he defeated Glenmuir’s Laurence Davey on board 2.

Story Title:RBTT CHESS FINALS FOR COURTLEIGH Posted By:Mark Holness on the date 2008-02-14
The finals of the RBTT Corporate and Rural Area Schools Chess Championships will both take place this Saturday at 10 am at the Windsor Suite of the Courtleigh Hotel in New Kingston. In the Corporate Area final, Camperdown High and Campion College will square off in the much-anticipated clash between the best team from the Kingston Zone and the best team from the St. Andrew Zone, while in the Rural Final, favourites Glenmuir High will face Montego Bay Community College.
