The Lasco Chess League 2007 is set to resume with Round 3 on Sunday, October 28.

Venue: RBTT Canteen Time: 1.00 p.m.

There will be a short captain’s meeting before the games start.

Don’t forget, the deadline for team changes is 9.00 a.m. on the day of the match.

OVERVIEW

The much-anticipated 2007 edition of the LASCO Chess League, WILL BE HELD the RBTT Bank Head Office in New Kingston. The opening ceremony WAS was held on Saturday July 15 and the first round began at 1 p.m. The second round is scheduled for Sunday July 15 starting at 1.00 p.m. at the same venue.

 

This year’s tournament will see a doubling of the number of teams entered compared with last year. In 2006, the inaugural year, there were seven teams, which has now doubled to fourteen. Due to the increased number of teams, this year’s tournament will be played using a single round robin format, where each team will play each other once during the season.
